been trying to get pregnant for the last year and had a few bumpy rides. i believe the doctor i was with is not informative enough. i was diagnosed with fibroid, recommended surgery (had it), then miscarried a few times, then now diagnosed with adenomyosis (endometriosis). i need a good gynae and fertility specialist. my research has pointed to christopher haines and philip ho. i'm in my late thirties and ovulate regularly. am worried and confused and looking at all sorts of treatments including alternative but i think at the end of the day i really need a good gynae.
any suggestion would be much appreciated. i don't have much symptoms except for slight cramping.

try pming wishing and hoping
she has a spreadsheet with a compilation of all the doctors in HK - and with patient comments pros and cons.
that being said, two good friends went to Phillip Ho and have had really good comments to say. One went for IVF, but after three cycles was not successful, but that is not to say it was the doctor's fault.
the other well-known doctor for fertility, is Milton Leung. He is older, but very well regarded in this field.

Hi bsm,
I have seen both Dr. Haines and Dr. Ho. Both are excellent but unfortunately the location of Dr. Haines was not practical for me. For sure Dr. Haines is cheaper. I decided to go with Dr. Ho after 2 failed IVF treatments with another doctor. Dr. Ho is excellent and so are his staff. I really liked his approach, he's very calm and patient. My IVF treatment with him was successful!
Good luck!

Hi BSM, I went to see Dr. Ho for the first time today and I think he is really great. I agree with Buz, his staff are excellent too. His fees are not cheap, but it's worth the try to set up a visit and see how you feel about him.

HI,
it sounds like both Dr. Ho and Dr. Haines have great reviews. could i have contact info for both doctors? my hubby and i had been trying the natural way for 2 yrs now without luck. the gyn i visited regularly is great but couldn't figure out where the problem is. thought we could use some good 2nd opinion before we consider alternative options.
thanks!

I'm another Dr Ho fan, can't say enough good things. He's at the The Well Woman's Clinic on Queen's Road in Central, the building that houses the Body Shop at street level. The number is 2526-3322. Kelly, his head nurse, is also excellent something I appreciated as well.
Best to go in on Day 2 or 3 of your cycle to combine your first consult with some of the initial diagnostic testing they'd want to do.
Also bring in any records you've kept, cycle length, ovulation, intercourse, bbt, whatever you've been maintaining.
It might not be a bad idea to have an initial consult with both doctors you're considering, evaluate their recommendations/approaches, etc. I was being treated by another doctor and after a few months went in to Dr Ho merely for a second opinion, but ended out agreeing with his recommendations and liking his style far better--so switched.
