has anyone had an epidural at the queen mary for natural delivery - just been told that they dont allow it! is this true - hope not!!

Hi, I just gave birth (natural) at Queen Mary a few weeks ago. I had an epidural no problem. Tried to do without, but gave in! The anesthesiologist actually visited me 3 times- once for the epidural, once for an increased dosage b/c one side still felt pain and then later on for a top up. Really nice doctor- only problem is that I ended up with a failed vacuum/ forceps delivery b/c the epidural didn't wear off in time for pushing. So I regret getting the top up.

I had the same experience as above with my first baby at QMH, the second time I didn't have an epidural, but they really wanted to give me one, so don't worry!
