A friend of mine whose little boy found to have asthma 1 year after they moved to HK from SP. I think it is mainly because of the escalating level of pollution in HK.

I am thinking of getting an air cleaner since we are having a baby in about 3 months. Anyone has any recommendation which brand or model we should get? Thank you.

The IQ Air is very expensive (about 10-11 thousand HKD!) but many say it's the best for infants and people with allergies/respiratory problems.

My husband was born in HK and had asthma as a child. Is the pollution really that bad there? I know here in Shanghai its bad and HK is alot more compact then Shanghai. I've only been there once and it was a very very clear during the week i was there. I say if its a concern you should try it out. I know back home my parents had a type of hair cleaner in their house. They rebought a new one every 3 years. As they only lasted 3 years or so.
