Ok...so the period is getting to be on the late side, and I have not had any pre-period cramps or mood swings this month which is strange for me.
I did a pregnancy test a home yesterday and it was negative, I have had no morning sickness, I don't have sore breasts and I don't have weird cravings; however I am horribly suspicious that I am pregnant.
If I go to my doctor and take a blood test, will this be accurate?? Does the blood say it all?? And what are the general signs of pregnancy??? If I don't have morning sickness and sore breasts, could I be missing something???

hi ladybird,
blood tests are considered most accurate. they tell you exact levels of various hormones at that particular time.

everyone's symptoms differ...some sore boobs, some not. Some dark nipples some not. Some drool (me!) some not. some cramp, some don't. the movies overexaggerate the whole morning sickness thing, as most women don't experience it until at least 6 weeks, and more at 8. So just wait a bit longer and then take a test...

Wait a couple of days and then do another test.
Pregnancy signs definately differ from person to person, morning sickness kicked in from week 6 on all mine, boobs definately felt different, not hurting just different, and the tiredness was amazing, I just couldn't stay awake in the afternoons for a while. Somebody who was staying with us when I was about 12 weeks pregnant with my first (and not showing yet) said they knew I was pregnant without me telling them because I kept falling asleep all the time.

Its almost impossible to get a false positive, but is more common to get a false negative,It sounds like you're pregnant. Do another home test to make sure.
