Hi, maybe I should post this question on the 'Moms and Dads' board, but I'm not a Mom yet (4 months to go!) so that just doesn't seem right...
Here's the deal: I need to book air tickets for my husband and I to go to the U.S. with what will be, come Christmastime, our 3-month-old baby. (Feels strange to book before the kid's even here, but the flights are already filling up!) My question is: should I use my miles (I fly a lot for work) to upgrade us to business class--or do you think that's unfair to the other passengers, who presumably bought an expensive ticket hoping for peace and quiet?
Would love to hear what travelling parents and business travellers--since I can closely identify with both and am feeling torn--have to say about this. Thanks!

I flew business class with my 3 month old - she pretty much slept and if she didn't sleep I would give her my breast. Most people didnt' even know that she was there. I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you have the miles, and they let you upgrade during the holidays do it.
I'm flying business class for my move back to the US and I'm a lot more worried about causing stress and distress to other passengers - we're paying for the fares and so we're not just upgrading - but still I have a lot of guilt...

A belated thanks for your thoughts, everyone--I really appreciate your taking the time to share your experiences. Also, a very happy Mother's Day to those of you who already have your cherubs--large or small--in your arms!
