We have recently found out that I am pregnant and I calculate that I am about 6 weeks. As my husband and I have only recently moved to Shanghai I am yet to visit a doctor or arrange an appointment.
We are both over the moon but I have been very stressed with the move over here (from the UK) and settling in etc.
This morning I noticed some blood and I am very concerned that this is bad news (and my husband is away on Business!). Could anyone suggest where I should go in Shanghai to check this out? Or call to arrange an appointment asap?
Many thanks

Some spotting can happen at around 8 weeks but it is worth getting it checked out. The number I have for Worldlink Medical Centre is 6279 7688 they should be able to help or recommend somewhere.

SWALL,
I experienced spotting at the same time during my current pregnancy.
Seeing blood is always worrying when you are pregnant but do not scare yourself silly yet - yes sometimes it means something not too good but ALOT OF WOMEN go through their pregnancy successfully despite spotting. i am 12 weeks now and hope to keep going! but nevertheless, go and check it out with a doctor. that's what i did because even if it's nothing, you definitely want the reassurance! and try to take it easy for the week or so and rest as much as you can.
good luck!

Wheelymate,
Thanks for your response and encouraging words. I have been in contact with Worldlink and have an appointment this afternoon. They have told me that it's not uncommon but an ultrasound will be done to find out if all is ok.
Thanks again!
