Hi, I've been prescribed CLOMID by my ob/gyn and told to take on the second day of my period for 5 days. However, this month, unusually, I was 3 days late (but not pregnant as a test revealed...sob) . Yesterday evening i had just slight bleeding (not just spotting) but got the full on period today.
My question is do i count yesterday as day one or today. Would it make a big difference to it's effectiveness if I accidentally took the clomid too early.
My period only lasts for 3 days usually, so don't want to get this wrong.
Many thanks for any advice.

I have taken clomid for 4 months (not in a row).
Doctors have different preferences. Some advice to start at day 2, some at day 3 or 4.
Clomid "fakes" your body not having enough hormones to grow eggs so your body thinks he needs to try harder. Doctors start with 1 tablet per day, if not very successful they will advice 2/day to 3/day.
Actually you should start when the full period starts. Best you take 1 extra at the end (1 day longer). No problem at all since you will be monitored every other day.

Hi Hung,
Just had the 3rd ICSI but unfortunately failed...
We go for surrogacy in Mumbai in May. Almost 42 and don't want to loose out!
We tried for almost 4 years now, the last year 3x ICSI
All implantation failures, embryos are very good, class 1, so lots of bad luck...
