HELP! Unplanned preg, would like to abort!

I read your post and it sounds like you are very anxious to get this abortion done right away. I do find it curious, though that you are wanting to choose abortion because the time doesn't seem right for you right now to have another baby and that you and your husband may want to have another child together in the future.


I recommend not getting an abortion because although it is deemed "safe" to do so--studies have shown that the long-term health risks really affect your ability to get pregnant after an abortion. Depending on what procedure you are looking to have done, the affects can be quite terrible for your health and ability to carry another child.


Not to mention that although an abortion may seem like a simple procedure to get done it nonetheless will have an emotional impact on you and your family. You are terminating a human life that could grow into a baby that is part of your family--especially since you would like to have another child later.


I also had an unplanned pregnancy last year--it was a horrible time for me. My husband and I didn't have much in the way of financial resources. I was bummed out because the pregnancy didn't exactly fit my personal timetable--I had just begun a good job doing what I love and I had to quit when it came time for maternity leave--many issues. It was a hard pregnancy for me--and even after the baby was born I still struggled--and I still struggle today with different things. However, even thinking about having ended this little boy's life before it had a chance to really begin makes me really sad--I am glad I didn't get an abortion.


I know you've said you're not interested in adoption but I encourage you to seek out as much information as you can in this case and just take a couple of days to really thoroughly analyze all the of the health and emotional impacts this decision can have on you.


In Hong Kong, I recommend, Mother's Choice, a long-established and well known organization that can at least offer some support and direction to you--and maybe a listening ear at this really hard time in your life.
