We, a Chinese-foreign couple, would like to adopt a child, because we can't have our own one.
Problem: I am a foreign national, having a nationality of a country which has no bilateral adoption-agreement with China.
Only 17 countries have such an agreement, most countries have not.
Though one of us is a Chinese, though we want to live in China forever and don't want to take the child out of the country, this is considered an "international adoption".
The Chinese adotion law is made for couples who live abroad and just come to China to take the adopted child with them. These regulations simply don't fit our case.
Anyway, the regulations are as they are.
Question: does anyone know how a legal way to "work around" these regulations?
Thank you very much in advance for any reply

I can't answer this question, but the one u asked on someones post I can.
You should be able to adopt from HK. HK does adopt overseas and people outside of HK. You would have to visit the web site and email them, with your situation.
One reaswon why we like to adopt here in HK, is the cost is very minimal (just court fees) whereas, most other Countries is over priced and who knows where the money goes There really are not alot of babies here, more adoptive parents and not enough babies. Chines or mixed couples have higher priority as well.
