Dear members,
I am from Malaysia, eagerly wanted a baby or twins,
tried to consult in Malaysia but not satisfied with their knowledge and services..
recently just went to Singapore Thomson hospital,
was satisfied with both Doc W C Cheng & Doc L C Cheng and their nurses..
But too bad that they need me to show my married cert which i do not have and will never have,
so I wanted to know..
if I have IVF in Hong Kong,
did HKg Ministry Of Health need me to show my married cert thn i only can do?
Please help me on this..
thank you very much!

I believe you need to provide a copy of your marriage certificate for both IVF and IUI in Hong Kong. It did not used to be the case but due to recent change in the law - now RE will ask you for a copy and make sure there is a copy on their file because they could get audited on this.

The new laws came into effect in 2007 but were not strictly monitored until 2008.

I would definitely recommend doing it in Bangkok. Bumrungrad Hospital is very good, or you can also consider Ramkamhaeng.

TQVM Sous- Skipper..
before reading ur mail, I've consulted few doctors in Bangkok on last week..
I've no idea which hospital n dr to go to, n ended up I travelled all the way dwn to do reserch by myself.. gutsy huh!
Bumrungrad hospital indeed is a very wel known n 5 start hospital, but i dont like it..
aftr i arr, dono which way to go.. ended up i walked a big round in the building..
thn i saw International patient reg counter,
i reg myself, but took me very long time..
they were too busy to attenting me..
while im talking with the gal, she kept answering calls..
ppl r vry cool n u don feel welcum n frendly environment..
heavy medicine smell..
operators n registrations were confusing..
mess-up all my app..
the doctors i supposed to meet ended up they were off day..
the doctors i dont want to meet, ended up i met them..
doctors wif not much patience n not detail..
patient like me, flew all the way dwn to get info but ended up wif disapointment!
yes, is 5 start hospital, but i dare to rate it,
it's only 2 n half start service..
I went to Pyathai 2 hospital,
aftr i reach there, immediately got a nurse welcum me, show me the way..
automatically get a chinese translator to me altho i didnt request it..
aftr reg the handsome translator brought me to another room n i met Dr Wiwat Quangkananurug..
I'm happy with the knwledge n very important is..
he's very detail n very patience..
4pm the dr alr finished working , but stil accompany me until im satisfied n full of knowledge..
meet all my requirement ahh..
show me video clip..
i can said that he's a very very patience doctor..
aftr 1hr+ talking wif doctor,
i wanted to leave n pay my bill, thn i saw the chinese translator still waiting me outside the doctor room...
very patience huh..
very politely, he do a review to me n ask me wat else he can help..
thn he lead me to another dept to pay my bill..
aftr billing, he sent me to the main entrance n waited 2ghtr wif me for driver pick up..
see me left thn he only went back!
SEE!!!
so patience n so polite it's..
their service is 5star altho the hospital is not as big as Bumrungrad hospital..
so ladies out there..
if u wish to hv IVF treatment in Bangkok,
i wld strongly recommend u to go to Pyathai 2 hospital, Dr Wiwat! (Thai Chainese)
nx mth i'm leaving to Bangkok again to start my treatment..
wish me luck n god bless to u all!!!

Yes, HK has become a very conservative place...blame it on the influence of Christian groups on the government.
In the UK half of children are now born to unmarried couples. More and more couples don't believe in marriage, a sign of the times. But the HK government has decided to turn the clock back.
I have a friend who needed fertility treatment but she is not married to her partner. They went to India for IVF, to Dr. Malpani in Mumbai.
The Malpani clinic is well run and though her IVF was unsuccessful, her experience was good.

Dear Sdanny,
Thanks for your recommendation of Pyathai 2 Hospital. Will you pls. tell me how I can start the consultation with the IVF center there before flying there? There is not much info. online. Thanks in advance for your help. Good luck to your treatment!

This is a bit off topic, but you say you don't have and never will have a marriage certificate... as you are not the 1st wife - does this mean your partner is a married man and is not going to divorce his 1st wife, yet he is willing to go to all these lenghts with you for the fertility treatment and giving you a baby?? Wow, I have to say...
