Need some advice on what to do next. Husband 44 with average sperm count/motility. Wife 40 excellent health and producing


Been trying for almost 1 year. Varying methods of checking OV time (thermometr etc).


Before rushing into IVF (which we are worried about due to any side effects) are there any clinics or or doctors that might be able to help without subjecting us to drugs etc I know that IVF is the best way but really would like another more natural option if available.


Any feedback sincerely appreciated (incl. clinic/doctor contacts in HK)

It sounds like you have already had all the tests done which is a good first step. Apart from IVF, you could try IUI which is less invasive. Many of us on this site have been successful with this method. It is just like artificial insemination but usually requires the wife to take some drugs so that she produces more than one egg to increase your chances of getting pregnant. Also they inseminate the sperm directly into the uterus so they don't have to swim as far and have a better chance of getting to the egg. The drugs are usually given at a lower dosage than if you did IVF so there are hardly any side effects. I would highly recommend Dr Philip Ho: 2899-2293. He is great with infertility issues.

You might also want to try and use "ovulation kit" which evaluated your wife's most fertile days.
