I visited a friend there and wasn't too impressed. Like a lot of hospitals, the rules seemed to exist for the convenience for the staff, rather than for the benefit of mum/bubs.

You'll need to go there and visit and you'll get a feel for the place.

thank u for the reply.. i just found out yesterday though that my baby's heartbeat is gone and my doctor Dr. Cora Ngai was not very nice and didnt seem sympathetic at all and did not really explain anything to me and my Partner and just told me to go home and rest and wait to bleed it out or come back if i want to do the surgery.. she just told us that 15% of pregnancies end like this and when i asked if maybe she could have made a mistake and if its possible to check again she almost had a smile on her face and said she could not be wrong... *sigh*

Blueberrypp,

I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. It happened to us in 2007. There was a heartbeat at 7 weeks and then at 8 weeks it was still there. However, when we returned at 10 weeks - the heartbeat was gone. Dr. Ho is not known to be warm and fuzzy - however, he was very sympathetic. He also asked us to wait another week for a scan at 11 weeks - just in case. I think the chances are not great that the heart can revive itself - but we did not want to "close" the case until we were sure. Anyway, at 11 weeks, there was still no heartbeat. We had the S&E at 12 weeks.

It is a tough road esp when you have seen the heartbeat and have been making plans. It was tough for us too. I cried for 6 months - and then got pregnant again with our daughter - who is now almost 8 months old.

Try to be strong!

So sorry to hear about that . My wife had a miscarriage as well a couple of years ago. She is now pregnant at ten weeks.

While your loss is definitely nothing to dismiss lightly, i have no doubt that since you were able to get pregnant, you will be able to do it again. have faith.
