Tetanus Shots during pregnancy

How important are tetanus shots during pregnancy ?

If they are then is it the part of general follow ups at the pre natal clinics

My baby is 17 months old and I'm sure it's easy to forget everything that happened during my pregnancy... but I'm sure I didn't get a tetanus shot???

Anyway, if you go to a pre-natal clinic for your regular checkups, they'll tell you everything you need to know.

I do remember at the start that they did ask me about other vaccinations (ie. was I up to date with German measles shots etc etc...). Don't recall anything ever being said about a tetanus shot.
