Travel in the 6 month placement

Is there anyway travel with a baby/child would be granted within the 6 month placement time? I have heard that the parents can travel, then an extension is made on the 6 months but any chance of the baby/child travelling?

I believe one spouse can travel at one time only and this has to be work related. And as far as I can remember for work related issues. But no, I don't think the family can travel with the child. Unless there's a special reason and the SWD approves it.
