I have a HKID - husband does not

I was wondering if anyone else has been in my situation.. I grew up in HK and still have family there. Got married, moved away..but I still do visit home every year.

I would really like to have my baby in HK, I have faith in the healthcare there, and of course something about being with mum and dad is very reassuring :)) I still have my HKID (with right of abode and everything, if that means anything) but my husband obviously does not since he's never lived there.

So, will I be allowed to have my baby there in a govt hospital even if just one of us has a HKID?

oh brilliant! thank you cara for your quick response.. i wouldve thought the same just that i remember reading a few times (and somewhere on aisa-ex forum as well) that when we register for checkups, the we show both husband and wife ID's, so just got me a bit confused.

Just feel reassured :)).. thanks again!
