Blood test instead of amniotic liquor test

Hi, I have heart that there is a new blood test which can replace the amniotic liquor test. Does somebody know where I can be done and in which pregnancy week?

If I remember rightly it is around 20 weeks - your doctor should advise you to take it in conjunction with your 20 weeks scan.

I watch and read that news last month and they mentioned it there that HK, US and UK are still studying the case..

The older style blood test is called the Barts Test and it looks at the risk of Down Syndrome. The OSCAR test combines the blood test with an ultrasound for a more accurate risk assessment. The lastest test does DNA profile of the bub via the mothers blood. It has not been approved for use and to my knowledge is not available in HK.
