I just had my first IVF cycle (resulting in a high percentage of immature eggs) and would like to hear from you all about the frequency of the ultrasound and blood test frequency done by HK IVF doctors. My doctor gave me scans on day 2 (starting gonal-f), day 6 (adding cetritode to gonal-f) and day 10 (no more stimulation, just trigger shot) and checked blood on day 2, day 8 and day 10. I thought additional monitoring may help and I'm wondering if my current level of monitoring is considered standard in HK.

Hi, I'm not sure what's standard in HK, but I have had IVF overseas. it sounds as though you are getting enough scans although I've typically had more blood tests than that (day 1, 3, 7 and 9). Do you know what your levels of estrogen were and how big your follicles were when they triggered you?

Thanks whereintheworld. I don't know my E2 level but was told that I have a dozen big follicles on the trigger shot day. Was triggered by 5000 ovidrel. Some people get 10000 I read. Guess I was given less because I have poly cystic looking ovaries (no syndrom).
