I am now 3-month pregnant and I chose to give birth in Union hospital, I wanna ask a question: can I choose to donate my baby's cord blood to public banks (as somebody told me that there is a regulation on cord blood donation)? if not, is it ok to save my baby's umbilical cord blood to companies like CordLife? (their site: http://www.cordlife.com.hk ), I would consider this company as I am a Singaporean...

In Hong Kong, there are 7 private cord blood/stem cell banks:
1. Smartcells (UK)
2. Healthbaby (Taiwan)
3. Cordlife (Singapore)
4. APSC (HK)
5. ProStem Cell (HK)
6. HK stem cell centre (HK)
7. Stemlife (Malaysia)
And Red Cross is the only public cord blood bank in HK.
