Invitation to Participate in a study of Maternity Leave

Hong Kong recently passed the Employment (Amendment) Bill 2019, enhancing maternity leave benefits for women in the Hong Kong labour force by extending statutory paid maternity leave from 10 to 14 weeks beginning December 11, 2020.

The HKU School of Public Health is now recruiting participants for a study titled “The health implications of extending statutory paid maternity leave in Hong Kong: a policy evaluation.” The study aims to understand the impact of the maternity leave policy extension on maternal health, breastfeeding and maternal mental health. Participation will involve completing a 15-minute online survey at ~4 months postpartum.

Eligibility criteria
(1) Pregnant or gave birth recently (after August 1, 2020)
