hello ladies,
i have an Allianz insurance, and was wondering if Midwives' home visits after birth are covered by my insurance? i.e. Allianz global full cover. I am thinking of Annerley Midwives as I read many good comments by some mothers on this website.
I have asked my insurance broker but they are taking long time to reply, and as I am due anytime now I would appreciate anyone's help.
thanks in advance...

Have you tried asking Annerley? They may know where you stand...

With insurance questions I always email Allianz directly. That's the quickest way - you could phone too but personally I prefer to have these sorts of things in writing. In the past my husband has had problems with his insurance company (not Allianz) telling him something is covered but then when we sent the invoice in they said it wasn't covered.

I am also with Allianz and I don't think that Annerley is covered on the basis that it is not "medically necessary". I have booked some home visits with them afterwards though as have also heard good recommendations

I think it depends which coverage package you have? There are three different tiers for Allianz.

Thanks xox. Do you know for a fact that one of the Allianz plans does cover Annerley packages? I am covered under the more comprehensive of the Allianz plans for maternity and have been told that Annerley is not covered as their services are not "medically necessary". Would be interested to know which Allianz plan does cover Annerley so that I can question again with my broker.
Thanks again, SB2
