Antenatal Care Help!

ORIGINAL POST

I am 7 weeks pregnant. I do not have a HK ID card yet (we are on a 3 month work visa which will extend to a 1 year work visa in January, so I will have an ID card in February....). I tried to make an appointment at Tsan Yuk for my first antenatal tests and they refused. They said I could pay $39,000 straight up for a package with them or go private elsewhere.

I am planning to go through the public system and I am happy to pay more for antenatal care until I get my ID card. I tried another 2 private clinics who were both booked out for appointments until the end of January - I would like to have mt first lot of tests before the 3 month mark!

Can anyone suggest somewhere I can go for these first tests?

I suggest that you keep calling private doctors until you find one who has openning. Maybe the less famous ones. The first check up is not that complicated anyway. Try Dr. Eric Lee at 2521-2571

I recommend Dr Danny Kong. We have been with him through most of our pregnancy. At the beginning we had to try a few doctors so our tests were not done with him but he is very efficient and he will deliver our baby in January. He is also reasonably cheaper than other private docs and charges $800-900 per visit including an ultrasound. His number is 2537-4550 or 2524-3921. He is located at 41-47 Queen's Road Central, Room 602, Lansing House (entrance at Li Yuen Street). Hope that helps!
