Hi, we are moving from Aus to Hk soon. We are married and planning to start a family in the next 2 years. We will more than likely have our child in Hong Kong. Can anyone give us any information on insurance so we can go through private? It would be great if anyone could offer us some advice. Thanks

What type of insurance would you like? I didn't get health insurance while pregnant but I am thinking of umbilical cord storage. My company gives health insurance to me and my children..so I'm not sure

All health insurance companies in HK offer maternity coverage as an option but you will have to wait from 10 to 12 months before you can get pregnant and use the coverage. Such is Hong Kong!

The maternity waiting period is not a Hong Kong thing. It applies to all International Medical policies, but the period differs as you say.
