whould like to try in Singapore, as a foreigner am i allow to use NUH or KKH the public hospital and what will be the cost.
How about the private hospital : Thompson,Mount Elizabeth and Gleneagle.(It seems that O&G partners is very caring!!!). just hoping the private hospital are not profit driving in the infertility business!!!

Hi, I don't have details about Singapore (I am based in Hong Kong). IVM costs almost as much as IVF, depending on whether it's really "natural" or whether they use ovulation induction medicine (such as Gonal F, Pergonal, etc.). IVM is still less established than IVF, and not many clinics (at least in HK) have been doing it for very long. May I ask why you are trying IVM for male factor infertility? In my case, it was recommended to me, as I have a history of ovarian hyperstimulation. Unless the hospital is truly experienced with this technology (and you should ask for hard facts about how many IVMs they have done, and how many successful births - as opposed to just pregnancies - they have had). In my case, the clinic had not done very many, and I suspect that I was something of a guinea pig for my IVM, which they pushed on me but ultimately proved unsuccessful. The quality of eggs were worse than in a subsequent IVF. Bear in mind that the eggs are extracted when they are quite immature, developing in an unnatural surrounding, so you have that added element in addition to trying to get the egg to fertilize and divide in vitro. Many eggs do not go on to develop properly in vitro. IVF may still offer be a better option, barring specific health reasons. Unfortunately, infertility business is very much a business - very expensive for those who suffer from it. Good luck.

Hi,
I am on my 2 ww on IVF/ICSI/IVM due to male factor (Low Sperm Counts) and female factor (PCOS/Hypothyroidism).....
Actually, due to below age 31 the injection of LUCRIN and PUREGON is nothing at all to be SCARED of further the eggs retrieval surgery is CHICKEN as DR LOH put me to sleep and I remember nothing at all about the procedures.
KK (DR LOH SEONG FEEI and DR MARIANNE SYBILLE HENDRICKS) is superb and stable for all this procedures....
I like them so much....due to question were answered patiently and cared although they were so so so busy with daily surgery, consultation.
JIAYou hopefully you and wife start IVF?ICSI the earliest possible to had a highest chances of conception and young parents get recovered easily.
Hope to hear good news from you soon,
Foreign patients they do accept too, just as long as your wife age doesnt go beyong 41.
Regards,
KKIVF (65-63941694/1692)
for appointment assistance on day 2 menses.

Dear HKexpat:
I am so happy to hear the news, congratulation!!!!!! I am still very grateful for your help and your advices, when i was quite lost and unsure of trying again. Take good care of yourself...loooooking forward to hear from you soon.
We have just came back from Singapore this evening, it was a long drive, leaving early morning kL and be in KKIVF for all the bloods screening and be back at 7:30 pm.
Dear Poseidon, thanks for your supports and advices, we met Dr Loh this morning, the whole team of KKIVF is so caring , so human, it is the reason we trust the public system, as Singaporean you should be proud of it, i have similar experience when i was a student in France, the public hospital is human and caring!!!! my husband is french.
Dear Gingerale:
In KL the clinic are quite business oriented, a sucessful IVF treatment is also about a team coordination. i went to seek treatment in gleneagles and other private clinic in Singapore , but as french citizen we are more familiar and comfortable with the public system. I dont know about TMC, sorry! I used to trust Doctor before my unnecessary ovarian drilling in 2005 ( Confirmed by my dr in France and in Singapore) by a private fertility hospital in KL when my hormon level is normal, only with delayed menses, beside in my case is the male factor, now i have my left ovary above my uteru!!!!!
