Can some one suggest me where can is get ultrasound done & is it possible without doctors reference. In normal cases how many times one should get ultrasound done through the pregnancy period?

you can get it done in tsan yuk clinic. pls call: 2589 2100. i did mine there and was happy with it as the doc took time to show me my bub's ten fingers, ten toes and etc. they give you a cd of the scan incl. a short clip and also will post you pics by post within 2-3 weeks.

normally you can do the ultrasound after 20 weeks. it's upto you how many times you want to do it. i did it 3 times and my baby boy is perfectly healthy!

All OB/GYN offices would have ultrasound equipment.

i had an ultrasound done everytime i went in for a check-up....so that would be around 10 times, but how many you want done is completely up to the parents.

some people suggest that too many ultrasounds will lead teh baby to becoming left-handed and inability to hear high pitch sounds. but there haven't been any scientific studies that have been able to prove this completely. and my baby turned out fine.

Could you also tell me how much does the ultrasound cost. Is their any reliable & reasonable place to get it done without a private doctor's reference.

i've only visited private doctors for their service and it costs $700-$800 per visit.

Thanks every one for your advice i called up kiss.missy's number. They have reffed me to a diagnostic center where i have taken an appointment for my 12th week.
