Expat2006,

Thank you for your kind wishes. Yes, finally some good news from me - I just stepped into my 32nd week. I have all of you on the forum to thank - for your support, advice and guidance. Dr. Ho and Troy also played a big role.

I would like to encourage everyone who is TTC. I have been throu 3 m/cs, 1 unsuccessful IVF, several IUI's - this was a natural cycle of IUI.

Thanks again for your kind wishes and all the best to you too!

I just got my bloodtest result, the HCG number is decreasing, so i am expecting to have period soon. So it will be a miscarriage for me, the first time.

Lolo32,

Thank you for your kind wishes!

I am sorry to hear that your HCG is dropping. It sounds like my 2nd m/c. The "good" thing about it happening early on is that it does not require a lot of time to recover. I was on Chinese Herbs right away after my HCG started dropping - I ended up getting pregnant (naturally) the following cycle. The herbs helped to get me back in shape. I hope it will be the same for you.

All the best to you and hope you will soon get on the flight!

Hi Havefaith,

That's really encouraging news. Did you get the Chinese medicine from Dr Troy? as i just called them, Dora told me that I can have accupunture after my period arrives, she didnt mention any about taking medicine. I think may be Dr Troy is away.

Thanks for your kind advice,

I wish i can get on the flight soon. Same to MayC

Hi Havefaith,

I'd like to know how long you have seen Dr Troy, before this natural cycle? i just seen him for less than one month, just the start of my last IVF cycle, so i havent taken any Chinese medicine from him.

And plus are you seeing Dr Philip Ho? you mentioned it is a natural IUI, it means you didnt take any Dr's medication and just check the ovulation date yourself and go to see the doctor?

May i know how should I do it if I need to see Dr Ho? any bloodtest I need to do before he can accept a IUI cycle?

Thank you so much

Lolo32,

I was with Cecilia The at the time of my 2nd m/c and the herbs were from her. I then stayed with Ceclia for another month or so - and got pregnant naturally the following cycle (being on hols also helped). However, after my 3rd m/c I started seeing Troy. He told me it would take 6 to 9 cycles to improve the quality of the eggs (which was my problem). I got pregnant on my 7th cycle with Troy.

Natural cycle of IUI means no medications (no Gonal F or trigger shot). I saw Dr. Ho at the begining of the cycle and he monitors the cycle a couple more times before ovulation - and when I was about to ovulate he did the IUI procedure. Dr. Ho did not ask me to do any bloodtest before the natural cycle - but during the cycle there were a couple of bloodtests to check for ovulation. I was already a patient of Dr. Ho's before I did my first natural cycle of IUI - so I am not sure whether it would be different for someone like yourself if you have not been with him before. Are you not with Alex Doo? Ask him if you can do a natural cycle of IUI? I first asked about this as it was a month after my unsuccessful IVF cycle and DH was travelling - I wanted to do something that cycle - and Dr. Ho does not recommend back to back stimulation - so I asked if I can do it without drugs and DH's sample was frozen before his trip.

MayC, Thank you for your kind wishes. I am sure you will be on the flight soon (with your LOL#2).

Longing, Thank you for your kind wishes. Did I reply to your email? If I didnot please forgive me for being rude. How are you doing?

Hi Havefaith,

Thank you very much for your detailed info. You said the doctor will monitor the ovulation by bloodtest. During that time, did you need to have injection to trigger the ovulation? as I know Women's Clinic will do injection to precisely control the time. Yes, Alex Doo and Milton Leong can do natural IUI.

Now i understand, it does take time. You have seen Dr Troy for quite a number of months. Then I think i need to be patient and make myself healthy first. That's good to know that DH's can be frozen and it helps a lot for the scheduling.

Now I am waiting for the period to come. For last time m/c, how long did you wait until period come after you noticed the beta started dropping? the nurse told me only a few days, and now i feel nothing yet. Hope it will come soon. And then I can start everything all over again.

Wish you a Merry x'mas.

HF,

A pure natural cycle means no medications - no Gonal F or trigger shot. I have also had a natural IUI cycle without Gonal F but with trigger shot. Not sure why - Dr. Ho made the decision.

As for how many months Troy needs, I would suggest you ask him about your case. I think each of us is different. It might very well happen sooner for you.

The frozen sample is great - you pay an extra HK$3000 and they freeze it for 3 months.

Don't give up ladies! I gave birth at age 42 after 7 years of marriage with two m/c. For 5 years i was not pregnant at all but one morning i did a test and it was positive! I had a wonderful pregnancy and he was born on Feb 14, 2007 - My Valentino!

Don't you ever give up because you have gone too far to quite. Every morning when you wake up, tell yourself: "I am a Mother". You will be just as you have spoken. You are the prophet of your own so go ahead to prophesy!

SB2, Thank you for your kind wishes.

Dadda, I remember communicating with one father-to-be (fornhill??). Was that your alias? In any case, thank you for your kind wishes. I cried when I read your reply - I think it is the pregnancy hormones. It was very touching. Thank you. I will give her a big hug from you when I meet her next month. I have received so much help from so many people on this forum - I am glad to have given some of that back (in a small way).
