Hi, I am due in about a week and was wondering whether anyone has used a birthing ball at the Queen Mary and what their procedure is with regards to this? Thanks.

The do have birth balls but only in the delivery room, you cant use them in the 'assessment area'. I do recommend you take your own, or tell them you want one as soon as you get there. Make a space and use it with the help of your partner. They will want to know if you have done the workshop at Tsuen Yuk Hospital and will want to see the certificate to prove it. If you have not done the workshop, get aquainted with how to use it and be sure to practice it everyday with your partner.
Whatever you do...don't use it by yourself. It is far to dangerous.
