I'm 7 months pregnant. This has happened to me three times already within the last month and half. All of a sudden it hits you....blurred vision, head spinning, losing balance, vomiting alot . I went to the hospital 2 times already. Stayed overnight once. Both hospitals did various tests and they all came back normal. I know that dizzy spells do happen during pregnancy (getting up too fast, too crowed areas, heat, tiredness etc). I'm wondering if anyone else out there experienced this or could this be something more serious. I get worried about going out alone now because the last time it occurred, I was helpless on the street, I could not move, I puked all over the place. Of course people helped me and an ambulance came to pick me up. I'm a bit worried. I wonder if I'm trying to do too much or I'm walking around in the heat too long.

I had this twice when I was pregnant, it was very very scary, like you I had all the tests which were fine and my Dr told me not to stand up for too long, walk or take a seat. I was lucky when it happened as I was in the UK with a friend who had car and drove me to the Drs. I am sure everything is OK,
Try and stay cool (!) and don't stay on your feet for too lomg. I was paranoid when I was pregnant and kept sitting down and like use was frightened to go out alone.
Drink lots of water and if you start to feel funny, put your head between your knees.
Hope you feel better now

nina,
you said the doc has done many tests - have they eliminated pre-eclampsia? at its mild stage it's just high blood pressure, protein in urine, etc. but a more serious case might include symptoms that you have described.
i am not trying to scare you. i had a mild case at 39 weeks and was induced.

good luck, i hope it is nothing! are you working? if not, i would stay in bed and rest as much as possible...as hard as that may be to do if you are the always on the go type (like me!)
