Having lived in HKG for more than a decade we kind of adapted the chinese belief about 8's, plus it's my older daughter's birthday (going 17yrs old)I thought it will be fun for both to have same birthday, anyway if anniversaries/birthdays fall on weekdays we move celebrations on week-ends, but then of course nothing will beat the natural birth.

Good to see someone from Bangkok coming on - we are making major upgrades to the Bangkok site in anticipation of a massive ad campaign in Q4 as we roll into the city... we'll have offices in the big mango shortly.

Vulvic, yes I have started packing my bag as I don't want to be caught off guard in case if baby wants to come out before the set date! ^O^ Had a check up yesterday and tho my little one is only 35 wks old she's already weighting at 7 lbs! No wonder my back is sore..e__e

Coquinne - sounds like baby's head may be engaging. Have you been feeling pressure on your bladder, I get this a lot and has me running for the loo.
Chrispy - def have your bags packed, a lot of 1st babies arrive early. Doc thought mine would make an appearance at 37 wks but I am now 39 wks and still no bubs, lol!!!

My little guy is scheduled to arrive on Sep 30th. I haven't packed yet...how long can it take to throw a few things together?
This is going to be #3 for me. #1 & #2 are 3 years old now (twins).
Where's everyone going to deliver? I'm having an elective C at Matilda. I feel like I deserve a nice birthing experience after a not so good one with my twins at QM during the height of SARS.

Its ChrisP - the very Happy Hubby of Chrispy06 (my wonderful wife).
She gave birth to our baby girl Catlin by c-section at Adventist earlier today - baby weighs in at 6lb 13oz, or 3.1kg. All went well, no complications and Mum & Baby are both doing very well. Doc estimated weight at 8lbs from the scans, but she came in less than expected. No problem, just leting you know. I cut the cor at 1.40pm today...
My wife asked me to let u all know asap - and that she is in good shape and all the better for your great support !!

Hello fellow moms! Eleonore came on the 4th, weighs 2.91kgs/50cm after 8hrs of labour. This time I've asked for epidural w/c is a big relief only I had a bit of problem on timing to push. She is exactly what I've wished for, the new father is bessoted.

yes 1st bubs often come early. Mine was predicted to come early by the doc but was born on her due date.
One friend had hers 10 days early, the other friend 5 weeks early.
So it literally could be any day now!!! How exciting.

dad (ob) told me that the only thing about due dates is that they RARELY arrive on the actual due date. There are just as many cases of late babies as there are of early babies. (I was 40 + 6)

So is there any way to predict at all? I mean...any instinct/ signal one would feel some time before the labour at all?
I just had a check up yesterday. Bub already weighs 7lbs, but he's not dropped yet, so I guess won't be too soon? Is dropping itself is a signal?

the only thing that happened to me - I lost my mucous plug and then my labor started 24 hours later. that was the only indicator for me.
Supposedly some women have a mad rush of diarrhea (which is actually nice) as if there bodies are trying to get rid of stuff before it decides to constipate itself beyond compare aferwards. Diarrhea can also TRIGGER labor - nipple stimulation supposedly can too. Perhaps your husband can help?

Does one get constipation after delivery?
For the apron, it was shipped out on Oct 2 according to Honeypie. Should be arriving any time this week I guess. Honeypie will let me know (if she's ready to contact anyone at all!) :)
