I had a C-section with my first child and a natural delivery with my second child. Both children were delivered in Hong Kong. I used Dr. Alex Doo for my second child. I made it clear from the beginning that I wanted to try VBAC. He was supportive. I asked for the success rate among his clients who tried for VBAC. He said about 60 to 70%. Both pregnancies were relatively uncomplicated. They were about 2.5 years apart. I am really glad I got to experience the 'natural' birthing process the second time around, and I also feel that the recovery was faster.
That said, a lot depends on the progression with the pregnancy, and the reason for having had a C-section with your first child. I am sure it all depends on individual circumstances. If you decide to try for VBAC, hope you find a good physician who is open minded and makes decisions having your best interests in mind. VBAC or not, best luck.
