My GP recommended me Dr. Mike (or Michael) Rogers. When I was at the appointment, I thought I will do a little research, but I am not able to find anything on him.

Do anyone know Dr. Rogers and what is your comment?

hi, i delivered my little monkey with him at matilda 2 months ago. i am really happy with how we worked on the pregnancy/delivery/post delivery that i will definitely work with him again on no.2!!

-he is a pro natural birth as much as possible person. he will have the midwives take initiation of the delivery and intervene only when absolutely necessary (of course he will be there monitoring things and instructing dads). i think he will only go for c-sec if absolutely life threatening for mom and baby or you absolutely want it.

- he is really focused on the well being of mother and baby, he will take the time to answer all your anxieties and take time on the scans checking details to make sure that the baby is growing fine. He will do it until he is satisfied and understands what is going on.

-He is really into supporting the mother during the whole process and even after the post natal 6 weeks check up. he is there listening to your anxiety and will make the effort to decrease your discomfort and try to bring back your physical condition so that you can continue your life as much as a normal person. He has done it so many times for me during pregnancy, and post delivery.

- i was passed on to him from 4months, had scans every time. He has a 3D so if you are lucky, you may get to see the baby's face when the time comes.( we only got to see the knees), the schedule is once a months till 8 months, then twice a month for 8 months, 9 months, every week. Since he is so into the checking the bubs, he might forget to print you the scan but, all you have to do is ask!! he charges 900 to 1200HKD per visit.

- He will match what you want so please make sure you tell him what you want and he will try and make it all happen.

If you need more info. please let me know.

I eventually used Dr. Lucy Lord as she was recommended by so many people (also many people do not recommend her...). She has a maternity package and I compared that with the total individual costs of Dr. Mike Rogers and he was more expensive and also, according to the lady who helped me, I had to pay for all the scans. HK$950 was only for the 15 minute consultation she said, while at Dr. Lucy Lord, the scan is included each time as it comes with the package.

She is ok, the nurses are very nice. Dr. Lucy Lord does not explain to much unfortunately but the fact that she has been doing this for so long, gives me a reassurance.

I have not used anyone else before in my life as this is my first one, so I really cannot compare. I do hear from others that all other doctors are so patient, explain everything, take the time etc. I think Dr. Lord does this less, but if you have questions, of course she will answer them.

I use Dr. Rogers after Dr. Dawkins left. I think he is good. He came to HK in the 1980s teaching at CUHK. What you have to do is ASK and he will explain.

I use Dr Rogers and I think he is very good. He's located at Jardines House in central and does deliveries at Matilda. He seams easy going but at the same time very thorough and answers all your questions.

I had Dr Dawkins and thought he was very good. I am also considering a new OBGYN and have heard good things about Grace and mixed about Dr Rogers
