I want to find a warm, informative private Doctor with a great bedside manner. I am so tired of being rushed in and out of Dr. offices here in HK! And I can't think of anything worse than dealing with that while being pregnant!

I gave birth yesterday at the Matilda Hospital and Dr Alex Doo delivered my little girl.


It was my third baby, in as many years, so I was hoping for a short and sweet labour. Turned out to be 15 hours long but I put that down to having to be induced. To cut a long story short (literally) I went from 4cm to 10cm in 10 minutes! Even after receiving an epirdural, I began to get breakthrough pain as I dilated so quickly.


Dr Doo raced in to the delivery room as soon as they told him I had dilated from 5 to 10 in 10 minutes.


He delivered my baby in 2 pushes without any tearing or cuts and he truly is an amazing Doctor.


I saw Dr Doo throughout my entire pregnancy. He was wonderful every time.

I arrived back to HK in March this year, became pregnant soon after (with 2nd) and scurried around to find a good OB - coming from the US, mine for my 1st baby was the best! My husband is a doc too and we both interviewed the most well known in HK and decided on Dr. Macor Wan, in St. George's Building, Central. If this is your 1st, he may not have the most time for chat, etc, but from a diagnositc and medical standpiont, he is brilliant. Many other docs refer to him when their patients need additional diagnostic testing. We really like him. Good luck.

Hi..after coming to hk i was pregnant with my sec baby with in a month and after few visits to couple of docs parallely, I decided on Dr Sally Fergusson. She's got excellent bedside manners and very thorough. Her appointments are well placed, well scheduled and doesnt make u wait endlessly. Very warm and approachable. Best part was when she was on leave in between and happily replied to emails about certain queries I had. totally floored me with that. Would highly recommend her!!!!
