I'm planning on having a baby and I am considering whether to take out medical insurance with a maternity benefit as my current insurance doesn't cover it. However, the insurance companies I have investigated are very expensive and I am not even sure if I would be 100% covered. Of course I would love to give birth in the luxury of the Matilda, but I am prepared to go to the Queen Mary as I've heard it's quite good. So my question is two-fold: 1. Has anyone been insured and been left out-of-pocket, and if so how much? 2. Can anyone recommend an insurance company that will provide 100% coverage? I would like some advice on whether it's actually worth purchasing materntiy insurance.

One company will provide Full Refund coverage. However I have heard they are changing their policy details. You may be out of pocket depending on the policy you take, or when you take it out. If you become pregnant before the expiry of the waiting period you may have a few examinations to pay for before the policy will start paying out.
I do not know if I can mention the companys name here, so if you wish to have further details, please send me a private message.
