NICU in Hong Kong

Hello,

does anybody know which other hospitals have a NICU in Hong Kong that is as good as Queen Mary (and private rooms)? Queen Mary's NICU is currently overbooked (145% occupancy).

I am currently at Queen Mary but they told me if I were to go in labor they would have to transfer me to another hospital to give birth!

Thanks

I don't have an answer for you, but good luck! I heard that QM has the best NICU (only NICU on HK Island), but I'm not terribly informed. My twins were born at 32 wks and spent 3wks at QM.

hi - while qmh has the longest standing nicu with the best reputation, last year the former head of the qmh nicu did a tour of all the government hospitals nicu's and advised them on what needed to be done to upgrade their nicu's. her suggestions were largely followed.

if you had babies who were micropreemies (anything earlier than 28 weeks) or severe complications, they would likely be taken to qmh, but these days the government hospitals have the machinery and the staff to deal with most complicated post-natal births.

why are you on bedrest? how many weeks are you?
