Which hospital for maternity from DB?

I am moving to HK next month and will be 21 weeks pregnant. We plan to live in Discovery Bay and do not have medical insurance for maternity.


I'd appreciate advice on which government hospital to go to? Do I need to register with a doctor first to be referred?

All you need is proof of pregnancy from a doctor when you register at QMH (perhaps you can get a letter from your current doctor to save you time). Since you'll be 21 weeks, you should register as soon as you arrive. QMH normally gives you your first ultrasound scan at around 20th week to check for any abnormality.

Thanks everyone for your help - its given me a good headstart before I arrive! I will have the abnormality scan in the Uk at 19 weeks before traveling.
