I just discovered I am pregnant and my doctor helped me book a room at Canossa. I haven't heard much about this hospital before. Can anyone give me any ideas on whether this would be a good hospital to give birth? My brother's wife had hers at Mathilda and it was a gorgeous hospital but a bit far from me. The other I've visited before is Adventist and that seemed quite nice too. How does Canossa compare?

I have stayed at Sanatorium, Adventist, Canossa and Matilda - for various operations in the past couple of years. I am now 5 months pregant - and although I live next to Adventist. I have booked Matilda. My second choice would have been Adventist.
I really did not like Canossa or the Santorium. Canossa cannot compare to the Adventist - let alone Matilda. Canossa is probably the worst of the four - in my opinion.

I have stayed at Canossa a few times, the hotel itself is older then the others however I really liked it, I too am pregnant and have chosen Canossa to have my baby in, the staff there are so wonderful and I really like that it is in Midlevels so it is nice and close for people to visit.

hi
i had an operation at the canossa a few years ago and booked a private room. it was extremely convenient for friends to come and visit, and the staff were unobtrusive and friendly. i have also stayed at the matilda in a private room. while the canossa didn't have the dvd machine, etc, it was just as quiet and comfortable, just without the perks. i had a shared room when i was at the adventist so i can't comment too much on things there.
i have nothing but good things to say about the canossa. especially if your insurance isn't covering the cost of the room and you are looking to cut costs, i would definitely recommend this hospital.
good luck!
