Ob&Gyn in Guangzhou???

Hi everybody! Especially all of you pregnant ladies in Guangzhou!

I'm moving to Guangzhou from Beijing and incidentally I happen to be in my first trimester. My caregiver here is Bailey&Jackson Clinic which is quite good but also quite pricey.

So I got wondering if there are decent "laowai-oriented" Ob&Gyn services in Guangzhou and how much they charge for their services in general.

There's all kinds of stuff going on here in BJ, like pregnancy yoga, and future moms'&dad's classes. Anything like this down there?

I'm also an expecting mother living in GZ (17 wks. along). Personally, I've been going to Hong Kong for my prenatal care (due to previous pregnancy problems) and will also deliver in HK. For ob/gyn services, I go to CanAm Int'l. Med. Ctr.and see Dr. Peggy Lu, she's great. Can Am Clinic's info:

Tel. 20-8386-6988. There is a membership fee, depending on you and your family's coverage. Call them and they should help you out. I haven't come across any services like prenatal yoga, etc. I'm going to get some DVDs.


On a side note, there is a small group of pregnant foreign women here who are starting to email each other and will meet soon, send me a private message and I can tell you all about it! Also, I can tell you how to get involved with GWIC (GZ Women's Int'l. Club), it's such a great organization and tremendous support system for living here.
