Even if the Vancouver Canucks manage to advance to the Western Conference final, they won’t be getting forward Brock Boeser back any time soon.
Boeser, who has developed a blood clot that will keep him out of Game 7 on Monday night, is not expected to be able to play again this season, Sportsnet has confirmed. Frank Seravalli of DailyFaceoff.com first reported the development.
The 27-year-old developed the issue in his leg after the Canucks’ loss in Game 6 to the Oilers, according to Seravalli. The American was Vancouver’s leading scorer in the regular season, with 40 goals, and had seven more in 12 playoff games this spring.
