Another New Restaurant in Hong Kong

Just a few days after announcing that he would be closing his award-winning restaurant Central in Peru this June, Virgilio Martinez is set to open a new venture, Ichu Peru in Hong Kong in late July-- his first foray into Asia. (Central currently sits at No. 5 on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, and has topped the Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants list for three years in a row.

The restaurant, which takes its name from a plant found in the Peruvian Andes that grows only in extreme conditions-- a reflection of both Martinez's in-depth knowledge of indigenous ingredients and passion for new challenges-- is in partnership with Dubai-based Bulldozer Group.
