American roots music players?

Hi, Hong Kong --

My wife and I just moved here, and we hope to join or create a band that plays American roots music -- e.g. some combination of bluegrass, old-time, old-school country and delta blues. (To give you an idea: We like to play songs by the likes of Dolly Parton, Jimmie Rodgers, Doc Watson, Hank Williams, the Louvin Brothers, Townes Van Zandt, Gillian Welch, Emmylou Harris, etc. etc.)

We both sing lead and harmonies. I also play the mandolin and some banjo and acoustic guitar. And we would LOVE to find players who are broadly familiar with the music; can sing lead or harmonies; and play guitar (acoustic and/or electric), fiddle, banjo, piano, upright bass, harmonica, or even dobro or pedal-steel guitar.

Does Hong Kong have a band like this that might welcome an extra member or two? And, if not, are there any players out there who are itching to play and sing American roots music in a dive bar every once in a while? I am all ears.

I play guitar. Just the basics. And sing.
I'm more of a singer than a guitar player.
Into Dylan/ Cohen / Nick Drake and the like.
I'm open to the idea of playing together - if you're desperate!

I'm new to Hong Kong and AsiaExpat---but you got my attention with the musicians mentioned in your old post. Unfortunately, I'm not a gifted musician, but I'd go see any honky tonk/country gig in Hong Kong. I wish you luck and please post if you guys get something started!
