Looking for a place to live

My company has offered me a transfer to our HK office. I'm planning a business trip for 2 months, during which time, I plan to look for a permanent place to live for 2 years. Can someone suggest an area where I might be able to rent a 1 or 2 bedroom apt. for 8,000 HKD? Is this enough money for a decent 2 bedroom apt or should I negotiate for more $$$? I'd like to live near the MTR. Any info provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

for any one to really give you advice,

need to say where in HK will you be working.

If you are working in Lam Po,OR Wan Chai

having apartment in Tsuen Wan will not be convenient.Yes you are close to Mtr; but long way to and from work.

$8000 is okay for these areas nothing fancy and smallish I had to get used from a 3100 SQF to 780 SQF, But this is HK AND FOR $8000 you cannot expect too mutch.

Hope you find a nice place, and enjoy your stay in HK,

ANGELA

Thanks for the replies. I will be working in Central Hong Kong. It seems I will need to ask for more of a housing allowance. Thanks a gain for your help.
