Help w/ drawing up leasing contract pls

Am leasing my flat out but not through an agent.

I've been told that I can get a standard property leasing agreement from any stationery shop and agree any terms with the new tenant.

Does anyone have any guidance on this? I also understand that you split the stamp duty with the tenant. Why do you pay stamp duty when you're not selling?

Grateful for any advice.

Many thanks

Dragon

There is stamp duty payable when you register a lease with govt.

Tenancy agreements are available at book shops as well I think... you might be able to find one here as well
