Depends whether you're a city boy or a country lover!!

It also depends on if you are a party goer or like the balance of a more peaceful life on an island. From there you go onto whether you would like a boat ride twice a day (extending your travel time slightly) or would rather be able to stagger into your street and hop on a bus.

Lots of things to consider!!

If you like the plastic life of living barbies and children up 'til all hours running around the Plaza, choose Discovery Bay!! It's just like Patrick Mcgowan's Prisoner!!

Discovery Bay is where those foriegn expat cannot accept the fact they live in hong kong, they want somewhere which make them feel like they have their own areas. If you want to live with the locals and know the local culture. Discovery bay is not your choice.

Btw, why you posted it at the relationship forum?

Have you considered Park Island? 20 minutes to IFC Central? Stunning view, absolutely chock a block with facilities and the flats are brand new.

Check the website out www.parkisland.com It is beautiful and there is the ferry to IFC (central) which is cheap and VERY convenient. The kindy is in Tsing Yee (the Park Island goes there every 10 minutes and it takes 12 minutes to get to Tsing Yee)The headmistress is a very nice lady, Jeni Fieldhouse and the contact details are tykinder@esf.edu.hk There are plenty of dogs on PI and what kind of dog do you have? You can contact me privately if you head on over to direct owner lease then click on the listing for Park Island (it should say nuttall)

Cheers,

You shouldn't commit to anything until you have had a chance to have a real good look around. You'll love it!

Bourneman 1971: Mmmm...curious where you end up moving to here at HK? It's probably too late but I highly recommend Happy Valley on HK Island. It's a nice, quiet, laid-back, village neighborhood with a diversity of expats (singles, couples, and families) and locals. The only drawback is it's not directly linked to the MTR, need to come in via tram, bus, or taxi.
