Deep Water Bay Drive

Anyone have any insight on the area of Deep Water Bay Drive.


Is it secluded? How are the buildings on that road, specifically Glendale.


Any info about that area/street would greatly be appreciated.

Glendale is a government-owned property (although I heard recently that they will be privatizing them soon). The flats are spacious (around 200 sqft?) with large western-style kitchens, helpers' quarters and a decent-sized balcony. Glendale has it's own swimming pool and easy access to a jogging trail.


The area itself is a little awkward but not inconvenient. It's right next to South Island School, which means that if it gets rowdy during the day, at least you know it will be quiet at night. The biggest disadvantage is probably being at the bottom of a hill, down which little public transport comes (I think the 5 and 6 minibuses do occasional runs down the hill).


More convenient (but much more pricey) is Manderlay on the top of Deep Water Bay Drive.
