We are thinking about build a swimming pool in our garden. Anyone who has experience with this sort of thing or contacts we can have? We do not have a big budget though and are considering something like a self-maintained kind of pool.

Century Pools quoted us about HK$320,000 to build the pool. Then we have to pay them about HK1,000 per month for the pool maintenance. We are still awaiting the quotation from another source but it is taking them a long time to reply as they claim that their supplier has yet to quote them the price. This is a French made (Jean Desjoyaux) self-maintained pool that does not require people like Century to come round to clean the pool. Apparantly, we just need to pour in some tablets or chemicals on a regular basis and take care of the cleaning ourselves.
