I live in Chicago, moving to HK and wondering what some of the better hair salons are in HK?
Also wanting to know where a Westerner could find a grocery store that carries lots of Western type food stuffs?
thanks

Hi,
As for food, shop at GREAT in Pacific Place, Olivers in the Princes Building, CitySuper in various locations but the IFC is the best, TASTE in Festival Walk. Being a blonde, I go to Paul Gerard in Pottinger Street, Central (they are all english and reasonably priced), or else try HippFish in Elgin Street, SOHO (also westerners and well priced.)

There are hundreds of grocery shops spread right throughout HK that sell western food products. You won't have a problem with that. The two main supermarket chains are Park 'n Shop and Wellcome, and then there are some speciality shops like those mentioned above. You'll be surprised just how western this place can be - and how Chinese - and how funny - and how annoying - and how exciting - and how frustrating...
(PS: Not sure I would have posted this in the Property forum. Perhaps more responses would have come from a posting in the Practical area.)
