my turn to give back

well i've been here almost 6wks now, and its been easy (but i've lived in tokyo and sg before so i'm used to moving) anyways alot of things were made easier through all the posts here and iw ant to post some useful that ihope will make it easier for any newbies.


we had a company appointed agent but i had much better luck with local agents , i went through 2 before I found melisa (landandfortune.com) she was good, spoke decent english, picked me up each time, no charges till we found a place. no hidden suprises.


i think a good agent really makes moving so much easier. trust me i saw some apalling apt at first but once i found melisa she filtered it very efficiently.


next i think expats will want water delivery. tap water here- forget it. will not bother explaining. instead either get www.bonaqua.com or watsons water.


next cable/wireless/tel line - NOW TV - serously they are fab. the only other alt is cable tv and i think NOW has better channels, bundles with wifi and also land lines.
