Mui Wo Questions

Just looking for some info about Mui Wo and the surrounding area.

Gym

- Is there a gym of fitness centre in Mui Wo? If not, where would the nearest facility be and how long would it take to get there?

Proximity to DB and the Airport

- Are there busses/shuttles that go back and forth to DB, Tung Chung and the airport? If so, how frequent do they run and how long does the trip take?

Schools

- Anyone have any information about Leafy International Kindergarden or the Lantau International School? Demographics, focus on Chinese studies, school's reputation etc.

- Is it realistic for a kid living in Mui Wo to attend the ESF kindergarden in Tsing Yi or would that be way too far/difficult a commute?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Are there quite a few other expat families living in Mui Wo or other areas of South Lantau. I don't really want to live somewhere that is majority expat, but at the same time I want to make sure that there are enough where I don't feel too isolated.

We are also considering living in Mui Wo.

Can anyone suggest a good agent or website for finding rental properties?

How do you recommend we commute from Mui Wo to DB? I believe there are local taxis that charge a flat rate - is that correct and what is the rate? And is there a bus?

Also, how reasonable is the commute from Mui Wo to Central for my husband to travel to and from work?

Thanks.

Thanks for the info. The Findley Leung site is really useful.

Some more questions about Mui Wo:

where is the nearest doctor and hospital?

is there a wet market?

Thanks again.

Hi

We are moving to Pui O at the end of this month (yay)and it seems to me that we might as well be moving to Mars, nobody delivers there and no-one seems to want to move us. Please can you help?

We currently live on DB.

There are two new Kindy's now: Little Lantau Montessouri and OWLS. They are both really good and have great teachers. Lots of new choices here since the expat community is growing so fast. Lantau also has gymnastics, dance, soccer, mini rugby, music classes, language, family disco's, and lots of playgroups!
