Furnished vs Unfurnished?

I'm relocation to HK and currently contemplating on whether to move my furnitures or not. Does studio & 1 bdrm apartments in HK usually come furnished or unfurnished? My budget is around HKD10,000 a month so I don't expect my apartment to be furnished but having a quick browse on some of the websites, it seems that most of the smaller units come with furniture?

Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

CnDi, I wouldn't say most smaller flats come with furniture - some do and some don't. Generally speaking, though, you probably wouldn't want the furniture that's provided! Occasionally you do get a flat that's been fully furnished in a very tasteful way, but they're not that frequent. However, unless you are particularly attached to your furniture I wouldn't advise bringing it over because you can easily buy second-hand furniture in good condition - see the For Sale ads on this site. Also, until you find a flat, you won't know how much room you have.
