Advice onFLOORBOARDS / water damage

We are looking at buying a unit that appears to have some water damage to some areas of the floorboards. The floorboards have been recently varnished over but we want to get them checked out to make sure there is no trapped water underneath which could cause the floorboards to lift later. Any ideas or advice on a company that can do this kind of inspection and report for us??????
