I don't mind so much on a day to day basis as am at work all week, but weekends and public holidays I'm still surrounded by workmen, noise (not drilling, but banging around), can't use /get into the lift, have scaffolding all over my terrace (which is included in my tenancy agreement and that I pay rent for).
Being the last tenant I don't have much of a leg to stand on except try and put up with it for another 6 weeks (lease ends end of June), but are they allowed to do this? I know they have restrictions on working hours Mon-Sat, but are they working legally if there on Sundays and public hols?

As far as I know there's no restriction against workmen on Sundays or public holidays, as long as they're not using power tools. If they are using power tools, you can complain to the police - unless they have a special permit.
